Percale is a weave fabric that is incredibly breathable. Percale bedding provides cool, crisp comfort that only gets better with time — which is why we chose this fabric for our bedding.
Yes. All our products are made from 100% organic cotton.
The thread count of all our bedding is 400. We ran specially-designed experiments to find the perfect number. We found that an extremely high thread count locks in air and moisture and a lower thread count promotes airflow. Our goal was to find the right balance for a comfortable sleep throughout the night.
Thread count refers to the number of threads per square inch. It's a measurement of density. The bedding industry created a story that the higher the count, the better the sheet, but it's mostly a myth. A very high thread count generally means a sheet is dense, less breathable, and often more expensive, not higher quality. Companies even do some creative things to boost their numbers, either by double-counting threads or stuffing fibres through the weave until it's jam-packed. But it's mostly style over better sleep. We spent months researching and designing a perfectly balanced bedding set that stays soft and comfortable wash after wash and has a perfect 400 threads per square inch.
Yep! All our bedding is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®. OEKO-TEX tests for harmful substances which are prohibited or regulated by law and chemicals which are known to be harmful to health. They also test for color fading and acidity as a precautionary measure to safeguard health at every stage of production.
All our fitted sheets fit mattresses up to 30cm in depth.
Our number one goal was to create the highest quality bedding we could. Our organically grown fabric is sent to a weaving and finishing facility in Israel that contains the most advanced technology, the most sophisticated systems, and expertise in production of this caliber.
Unlike many sheet brands we don't use any artificial wrinkle-free chemicals in our sheets. Like any 100% cotton products, your sheets will naturally wrinkle but your sheets will wrinkle less and less with every wash and use, but we recommend hang drying your sheets to prevent significant wrinkling. If you prefer to use a dryer, we recommend taking your sheets out of the dryer 5 minutes before the cycle ends and hanging them to dry.
Sleep on your sheets, chill on your pillow — you can try your Lakenland bedding in the comfort of your home for 60 nights from the day you receive them. This post-purchase, risk-free 0-night trial serves as our return policy. If you decide the bedding isn't for you, simply send it back to us and we'll either donate it to a local charity or have it recycled. We’ll provide you with a prepaid shipping label for you to ship your product back to us free of charge. Either way, your original form of payment will be refunded 100 percent.
